Dear Friends,

Because we are a “specialty store,” service and expertise are as important to our customers as the high quality products we offer. As you can imagine, we are naturally asked many questions. Some questions focus on specific projects or techniques. Others focus on the services we offer. We love being asked questions and we love answering them. The relationships and friendships with our customers is what makes our quilt shop so special.

We are entering our fourth year as the owners of Judy’s Quilt ‘n’ Sew and there is one reoccurring question that many you have asked: “When are you going to change the name of the store?”  Well, the answer is Now.  Our shop now features a wider palette of colors and styles, we offer a broad range of classes, have expanded further into embroidery, home decor and modern quilting styles, and we offer expertise and support for both the Bernina and the Pfaff sewing machine lines. When you walk into the Old House, you are greeted with a wonderful new look that is cheerful and full of great ideas. Structurally, we have painted our beautiful old home and (Mike’s favorite item) had a driveway put in.  We also have a new website (soon to be updated once again!) and active Facebook and twitter pages. Whew! Much has changed. What hasn’t changed, however, is our commitment to our customers and to our staff and our vision of offering an oasis of friendship and creativity in a busy world. Yes, now it’s time to change our name to better reflect who we are.

We still have a couple more background items that need to be completed before we announce the name we have chosen  It’s amazing how much has to be done!  If you are not already on our email list, be sure to sign up and watch for a special announcement in January! In the meantime, enjoy browsing through our winter class offerings with a cup of hot cocoa and your calendar. Sign up and join in!  The Old House is warm and inviting and our staff are looking forward to sharing new beginnings with you all.

We look forward to a new year of fun, friendship, creativity and of course, answering your questions.

Enjoy Life, Be Creative!

Elaine, Mike and the staff at Judy’s
